Kakheti is the land of the vine and the birthplace of winemaking, the land of the wildest valleys surrounded by majestic mountains, sprawling fields and vineyards!
And if Kakheti is rightfully considered the most wine region in Georgia, then how can our adventure be innocent? Maybe!
We will visit the most interesting places in Kakheti: we will cross the Gombori Pass (1620m), visit and walk around the administrative center of Telavi (see the symbol of the city – the ancient plane tree), see the Palace of Irakli II Bagrationi, and then to the Gremi castle. We will visit the famous Khareb wine storage in the Kvarelsky tunnel and walk through the prince’s estate-museum of the poet Alexander Chavchavadze in Tsinandali.

The tour was superbly organized. 12 hours passed quickly. We visited a lot of interesting and significant places: fortresses, churches, observation platforms and vineyards.
We also visited the Kindzmarauli factory, where after the excursion there was an opportunity to taste and buy real wine at very reasonable prices!
During the journeys, we stopped, drank coffee, ate puris, and rested. Ana is a great storyteller and guide. The impression was that she knows everything about history and art! And she treats her country, its history and culture so reverently and respectfully that this cannot but affect your impression of Georgia.
