The main sights of the capital with indescribable views of Tbilisi.
A unique trail for history buffs and species seekers.
Our journey will begin with the ascent by cable car to the legendary Narikala fortress of the 16th – 17th century, from where the most famous panoramic view of the entire Old City opens; ancient temples, hundreds of Tbilisi balconies and narrow streets. We will learn the history of the fortress, get acquainted with the Mother Georgia monument – a symbol of valor and hospitality.
Another beautiful view of Tbilisi will open to us from the observation deck of the Temple of Sameba – this temple, like the crown of Tbilisi, is the main cathedral of Georgia and one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world. Here we will have a short stop on Mount Eliya, a place where no tourist has yet set foot and from where we will take a look around almost all of Tbilisi.
Then our way to the outskirts of Tbilisi in the direction of the Tbilisi Sea, where an architectural masterpiece was erected – the monument to the History of Georgia Zurab Tsereteli. A monument in the form of 16 giant pillars describing the history of Georgia. And here, in addition to getting to know the monument that tells us a story, we will be able to enjoy the view of the Tbilisi Sea and the sleeping areas of the capital’s outskirts.
We will finish our journey in the central part of the city. We will climb the famous funicular, to the top of Mount Mtatsminda, from where we can truly enjoy the panoramas of Tbilisi, seasoned with delicious flavors of Georgian cuisine, in the famous Funicular restaurant of the same name.
But first, we will stop and get off at the only stop – “Pantheon”. On the way to the funicular, we will definitely make a stop here to capture another famous panoramic view of Tbilisi. Maybe someone wants to stay here for a short while, walk along the quiet and narrow streets of the Pantheon, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, where you can see many monuments, sculptures and bas-reliefs, where eternity and peace reign. And only then go to Mtatsminda.
