Day 1 Arrival in Tbilisi. Meeting with representatives of the Taberne company. Transfer and hotel accommodation.
Day 2. Tbilisi Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing tour of Old Tbilisi (3-4 hours). A fascinating walking tour through the old streets with authentic architecture; the area of sulfur baths, where, according to legend, King Vakhtang Gorgasali founded the capital; Metekhi plateau; bridge of 100 thousand great martyrs; the glass Peace Bridge and the adjacent Rike Park; Narikala fortress; Chardin is a street of nightlife bars and clubs. The tour will end at a wine cellar in the heart of Old Tbilisi, where guests will enjoy wine tasting from a professional sommelier. Optional programs: cruise along the Kura river. Day 3. Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion: “Kakheti. Innocent Adventures. ” Today our way to Kakheti is a trip to the east of Georgia full of impressions: the sunny Alazani Valley, the ancient Bodbe Monastery soaring above it, the streets of Sighnaghi, a long fortress wall, the taste of Georgian dishes and, of course, wine.
The city of love Sighnaghi is a romantic town nestled on a mountainside, the red roofs of houses fit beautifully into the landscape. Sighnaghi – in the past a royal residence, surrounded by defensive walls and towers, from one of which you can see the snow-covered peaks of the Caucasus and a beautiful view of the Alazani Valley.
Optionally, you can visit the Museum of Local Lore in Sighnaghi. This museum: consists of two main sections – archeology and paintings (mainly works by Niko Pirosmani and Lado Gudiashvili. Bodbe – Here you will follow the Christian path of Georgia and learn the legend about why Nino was buried in Bodbe. You can plunge into the healing waters of the holy spring and, perhaps, you will hear the prayers of many, many generations of believers.Moving to a wine cellar, wine tasting.
Day 3. Early breakfast at the hotel. Moving Tbilisi – Racha: 3-day trip to the extraordinary and unique in all respects region of Georgia – Racha.
What is fascinating here? Winding mountains, snow-capped gray peaks of the Caucasus Range, pure mountain rivers and powerful falling waterfalls, numerous forests with mushrooms and berries, natural miraculous caves, passes, alpine meadows, beautiful gorges of mountain rivers, reservoirs and lakes.
And here are the most delicious little-known lobiani, lobio and Lori ham! The well-known Khvanchkara wine is born here, in Racha! Once you see it, you will forever fall in love with this region.
Early departure. (3-3.5 hours on the road) Through the most beautiful serpentine of the Nakerala pass (1218m), leaving the Imereti region, we are in mountainous Racha. Along the picturesque Lake Shaori with the check-in point in Racha, we head to the village of Nikortsminda. We will begin our acquaintance with this village with a visit to the pearl of Georgian architecture of the golden era – the Nikortsminda church of the XI century. Lunch: Rachin feast
And then we have the most beautiful sights of the region: an easy hike (about 3 km) along the course of the mountain river. Shareula (a tributary of the Rioni), which originates from Lake Shaori: a beautiful canyon from the Ice Cave along the river through the Chelishi monastery complex in Udabno to the most beautiful waterfall in the village of Tkhmori
After the hike, a wine tasting awaits you: we are in the Khvanchkara wine micro-zone and must definitely try one of the exclusive wines in Georgia. You will visit the Bugeuli factory in the village of Khvanchkara and taste the wines: Tetra and Khvanchkara
